Welcome to the First Gen Law Community! 🎉
Hi everyone, I’m Danielle Alvarez, and I’m so excited to have you here! A little about me—I graduated from the JD/MBA program at the University of Miami, all while raising three kids and running a small business. As a first-gen “everything,” I know firsthand how overwhelming law school can be when you’re the first in your family to navigate this path. That’s why I’ve created this community—because no one should have to go through law school alone. My mission is to make the journey easier for all of you, the next generation of first-gen law students. This space is here to offer support, share resources, and connect with others who understand what you’re going through. In the coming weeks, I’ll be sharing some of the most valuable insights and hacks that helped me not just survive, but thrive in law school. We’ll also talk about my upcoming FGL course, designed to give you even more tools for success. But for now, let’s focus on building this community, supporting each other, and making sure no one has to figure this out on their own. Feel free to introduce yourselves, share your goals, and ask any questions you have. We’re all in this together, and I’m here to help every step of the way. Let’s do this! 💪

Florida Bar Rules - Now Available in the Classroom
Before I took the bar exam, I had no idea how much of a difference starting early could make. If I could go back, here’s what I wish I had known: - Studying Florida-specific rules and rule statements before graduation is a game-changer. - The two months of bar prep most programs give you? It’s not enough to feel anything but panicked. - Rule statements are EVERYTHING for Florida essays. Having them dialed in is the difference between scraping by and confidently earning points. - Florida law is significantly different from federal law, and the Florida portion of the bar covers way more subjects than the MBE. - I searched everywhere for resources to streamline my prep process—resources that were Florida-specific and comprehensive. I found nothing. That’s why I developed these Florida Rule Statement guides: to help bar takers like you prepare with confidence. Whether you buy one subject at a time or the full package, now is the time to get ahead. If you’re sitting for the bar in February or July, start exposing yourself to Florida rules today so you can hit the ground running when bar prep begins. Tell your friends. Save yourself the stress. I'm working on MBE Outlines, which will be up by the new year. These will save you countless hours of outlining and early exposure (for July test-takers) can make a huge difference! Wishing you all a wonderful holiday season! Danielle

Last Final Today
I am going to to walk into my last final, torts, today. It has been an oddly eventful, exciting, and exhausting semester. Good luck to everyone who has exams!
