Hey everyone, my name is Alika and I started a social media marketing agency as my first business a year ago, but I definitely had no passion for that and turned it into a Video Production company, which is why I'm here now! My mind is set on Entrepreneurship since I was in the military for 5 years, which basically felt like a super strict 9-5 and I wasn't satisfied whatsoever lmao. I got out a year ago and am ready to push my business, especially since creating any art is valuable to me, I just leaned more towards video and editing! Cheers to everyone! Let's get to work!

As you saw the title, Hi it's me. In 2023 I quit my full-time job to start my filmmaking business without any planning next 3 months I did some projects for free but not a single paid project thanks to my sales skills. Later, I joined my full-time job again, and then I started questioning myself that maybe I am not good this is not for me. I did some more free work after that to lift my confidence. Now I am getting better, last week we talked about going out and introducing yourselves to local businesses in the Instagram group. I tried that and trust me that helped. Maybe Soon I will shoot my 1st spotlight video i am pretty confident now after completing my city spotlight course. Go out and introduce yourself to local businesses and talk to them. Keep pushing each other.

I was originally looking to bui;d a production company that fills in the production space of the entire media process. After being bullied into directing a piece for the Charlotte Tourism Dpt in December of '23, I started to see that I could play my role and not have to worry about running a production company. That may have been the single best thing for me. Now, I am working on building my personal brand as a commercial director while helping a few friends build theres via UGC. I'm still learning and applying everything. Nothing polished, just all the bloopers and BTS right now, hahaha.
