This is a space where we can connect, share our love for storytelling, and inspire each other. Feel free to introduce yourself in the Introduction Thread! Tell us a bit about your interests, your favorite books, or what you're hoping to gain from being part of our community. A little about me: I'm Thomas, and I kind of stumbled into the film industry, producing eight films along the way. I was fortunate to be part of a team that financed and sold films, earning wins at prestigious festivals like Cannes and Berlin, and even snagging Oscars. Now, I'm diving headfirst into the world of writing, inspired by my brother's adventurous journey from Istanbul to Seychelles. This trip sparked the thrilling idea for a story about a crash landing in Somalia, starring none other than the President of the United States. I'm originally from Denmark—home of Vikings and pastries—and I've lived in Europe, Africa, America, and Brazil. Now, I find myself in Australia, where I spin tales with my wife and daughter, surrounded by kangaroos and koalas. My inspiration comes from Andy Weir, author of "The Martian." I was amazed by how over 10,000 people gave active feedback on his website, helping shape a novel that became a Hollywood blockbuster starring Matt Damon. Whether you're here to enjoy a gripping story, find inspiration, or even offer your unique ideas to enhance "Escape From Somalia," your presence is genuinely valued. Let's create a vibrant and supportive community together. Jump in, enjoy the story, and let's get to know each other! 😊 Once you've closed this community post, you'll find the first chapter and the rest of the chapters in the tab called Classroom, located at the top left of the page.
