Peptide Research Corner β€” What This Space Is (And Isn’t)
Welcome to ElevateMD's Peptide Research Corner. This space exists for one purpose: discussing published peptide research with scientific rigor. What this space IS: - A place to discuss peer-reviewed research on therapeutic peptides - A space for questions about mechanisms of action, study findings, and regulatory developments - An educational resource led by physicians who follow the science AND the regulations What this space IS NOT: - Medical advice (all clinical decisions happen through your physician) - A place to source, buy, or discuss obtaining peptides outside medical supervision - A promotional channel β€” we don't make claims beyond what the evidence supports Ground rules: 1. Cite your sources when sharing research 2. Distinguish between preclinical (animal/cell) and clinical (human) evidence 3. Use correct regulatory language β€” "HHS Secretary Kennedy stated his intention to reclassify" is accurate. "FDA approved" is not. 4. Ask questions freely β€” "we don't know yet" is a valid and honest answer Our physicians will participate regularly. Let's build the most evidence-based peptide discussion on the internet.

Community Guidelines β€” Please Read Before Posting
Welcome to ElevateMD. A few ground rules to keep this space useful: 1. THIS IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR MEDICAL CARE. Posts from the ElevateMD team are educational. They are not personalized medical advice. Clinical questions about YOUR treatment, YOUR labs, or YOUR protocol should go through your ElevateMD patient portal β€” not this community. 2. NO SOURCING DISCUSSION. Do not ask about or share where to buy prescription medications, NAD+, or any medication outside of a licensed pharmacy with a valid prescription. Posts discussing gray-market sourcing, research chemical suppliers, or self-prescribing will be removed. 3. EVIDENCE OVER ANECDOTE. We value personal experiences, but frame them as such. "This worked for me" is welcome. "This cures X" is not. The clinical team will flag claims that misrepresent the evidence. 4. RESPECT PRIVACY. Do not share other members' health information. Do not screenshot or share posts outside this community without the author's permission. 5. BE DIRECT, BE KIND. Disagreement is fine. Personal attacks are not. We're all here because we take our health seriously β€” assume good intent. Posts violating these guidelines will be removed. Repeated violations result in removal from the community. Questions about the community itself? Post them below. β€” The ElevateMD Clinical Team

Wellness Wednesday: Are You Managing Your Health or Engineering It?
Two approaches. Completely different outcomes. Managing: You feel fine, so you assume you're healthy. Something breaks, you go to the doctor, you treat it, you move on. Repeat. Engineering: You track your biomarkers quarterly. You see trends before they become problems. You intervene when optimization is possible β€” not when treatment is necessary. The difference isn't access to medicine. It's the mindset shift from reactive to proactive. Where do you fall on this spectrum? What would you change if you could see your full biological picture every 90 days? Share below.

Lab Monday: Fasting Insulin β€” The Number Your Annual Bloodwork Misses
Your doctor checks your glucose. If it's normal, you get a thumbs up. But fasting insulin tells a completely different story. It shows how hard your body is working to KEEP glucose normal. By the time glucose is elevated, insulin resistance has been building for years. Here's the kicker: the "normal" range for fasting insulin goes up to 25. Optimal is under 5. Most people have never had it tested. 88% of American adults have some degree of metabolic dysfunction. Most don't know it because their standard labs "look fine." Have you ever had fasting insulin tested? What was your number? If you haven't β€” why do you think it's not part of standard bloodwork? Drop your thoughts below.
