Just had an amazing interview with Dr. Anthony Metivier, a University Professor, TEDx Talk Speaker, and Best-selling Author.
And here are some of the best insight I get form him:
- If you want your students to read, share your excitement about books so that even the most skeptical students wanted to at least check out why you were so interested in something.
- Good teaching involves a bit or marketing, it is almost as if you are “selling” the work that goes into it.
- Niche down and focus on smaller units of interest.
I believe educators are not just people who teach, but some form of marketers as well, we need to "sell" our ideas to our students.
