very smart, I thought this was an attractive app when they started to roll out their automations to catch up with ConvertKit and the like, but an own branded app is next level.
Very cool. This signals the type of thinking that gets me so excited by what beehiiv is doing – they're not asking my readers to install a beehiiv app so they could get inundated with in-network content.
This is about giving MY readers another avenue to access the content I create on MY newsletter. Is it too much to call this a stroke of genius (that we'll probably soon see copied by ConvertKit and Substack?)
Bold move and was able to covered this in this week's Newsletter Business issue Monday just as it broke. It's definitely a differentiating platform move. The interesting thing is that this can compete for email engagement (although you must at least be a subscriber to download), and the usage metrics to discern exactly what's going on are going to lag as activity is tucked under web engagement for now. I don't expect the other platforms to catch up to this for a while, so score one for beehiiv!
