Hey! My name is Drew Lemaster, a proud owner of my German Shepherd Goose, and former professional Explosive Detection K9 Handler and Trainer. The dog training industry frustrates me. While I know plenty of fantastic trainers, I feel that too many spend way much time training the DOG, and not nearly enough training the OWNER. The truth is, while dog trainers can be great for providing good foundations for your dog, your dog needs YOU more than them. You end up having to become your dogs trainer anyways to maintain whatever the trainer instilled in the dog. So why not just skip the middle man? Once you have the skills and knowledge, you'll likely be a more powerful trainer to them anyways because of the trust you already have with your dog of providing for their most basic need, survival.
