Librarian Pivots to Cybersecurity – Seeking Your Insights

Hi everyone! I'm Jose, and I'm making the leap from librarianship to cybersecurity. This field fascinates me – it's like a giant puzzle waiting to be solved!

You might be surprised, but my library background was surprisingly tech-heavy. We mastered HTML, CSS, JavaScript, databases, and more. This led to freelance work managing sensitive data across various industries, which ignited my passion for information security.

Google's Cybersecurity Certificate was my turning point. I completed the program in January, and now I'm prepping for CompTIA Security+ in May. In the meantime, I'm exploring different cybersecurity specializations through free courses.

I recently discovered Nicholas Moy's YouTube channel – his practical approach really clicks with me. That's why I'm here! I'm trying out IriusRisk this weekend.
