vertical format for online courses?

i was just wondering, since content is more and more vertical, is anyone doing vertical videos for their classroom? i'm assuming your answer will be NO ;-) since courses are long format content and thus HORIZONTAL, but on facebook we've been watching long form VERTICAL videos for a long time now.

ps. also in terms of production, at least if you're not sharing a screen, vertical format might be easier to remove the background and put something else in place. since it's vertical and you're filming your torso+head (talking head video) there will be less background. thanks
