Are Syntactors equivalent or similar to Monads?
Greetings friends,
I'm curious is anyone here is familiar with Liebniz's Monadology? I have read approximately 1/4 of it, so I have a ways to go, however, if I were try hazard a description of a monad, I'd call it the smallest possible unit of info-cognition—an "individual" in the sense that there is no possibility of division beyond the monad.
The reason why I bring this up is because I suspect that Leibnizian monads are an equivalent concept to syntactors in the CTMU—are other students familiar with the Monadology, and if yes, am I on the right track?
Cheers and blessings everybody,
Paul
