Subthread clean up vs group chat

Watching the one days and group chat or break out chats came up again.

If we had a better system implemented where subthreads on posts weren’t so messy, so we could see who is replying to what comment that would fix a lot of the issue, plus keep everything in the main community and not have peeps dividing themselves out away from the main group.

I get that there is something to be said about smaller group chats etc, yet we have the DMs if peeps want to chat privately about whatever. If the culture is spot on in the space having the subthreads working better on posts it would go a long way towards having better, easier to follow convos in the community.
