Help with client billing

Okay I have a paid member. She is signing up for my program and I want to give her 3 months free of her membership. How do I do this? Do I have to remove her and re add her for free? Will she lose her level and points? etc.? HELP! Wish this was easier because I often offer membership as a perk to my programs.
