Attracting Non-Local Members

Hello everyone! 👋🏼 I would love to know how everyone is engaging with people beyond local/existing connections? I feel as though certain new communities definitely benefit from having existing relationships in which communities can initially be built on. As for engaging with people outside of local and known relationships, how is everyone connecting with potential community members? I thought of trying to engage with people through Facebook groups, Reddit communities, and various other social groups. Just curious if anyone has any other ideas that have worked well!
