It's been a very busy 23 days.. in the best way possible! I want to share with you the details to either encourage or help you.. or avoid what I didn't do right. Yes, I could have done a few things better. This isn't a short post. Grab a snack and drink.
Limitations:
- No ads campaigns.
- No active social media accounts.
- No previous network off Skool was brought with me.
- No camera. I do this faceless besides this one profile photo. (Yes, it is me.)
- No babysitter. I am a single stay at home mom to a 3 year old boy. (Adoption, so it's just me.)
๐ Full Transparency: I have been in the business and entrepreneurial world for almost 2 decades, so what I do have is experience that I brought with me. About a decade for online communities. However, I share the above, because starting from scratch can be tough and daunting at certain points. Face the fear and do it anyway. There are so many supportive people in this community that are willing to help, and there are so many very valuable communities that are free too. Knowledge + Action = Results. Good or bad results, they are still there for you to make adjustments and move forward. Okay enough of that so I don't sound like a thought leader.
Results:
- 151 members
- Ton of Auto DM responses
- 444 comments on the Welcome Post (Sorry Sam I know 444 is not lucky)
- $51 in sales for my low ticket classroom ($3 low ticket/high value)
- 30 Clarity Calls Completed
- 16 Clarity Call Reviews Via Post or Comment - All Great Reviews Pinned To Booking Area
- 10 Clarity Calls Booked To Do
- 34 people have been added via the Invitation Competition ( in the lead & close behind him)
- 26.76% Conversion rate
- 50% are still Level 1s
- #138 rank in the Business Category for Discovery
- Activity metrics are green some more than others. Today there are 252 activities already.
- 7 Churned members.
- Personal "Ahhhh" fan moment. When shouted out my community in Skool Games.. yeahhh you know the theme. I did tell my mom & some Skool besties. LOL
Also, I have several people that are this close ๐ค to having a success story from just being in the free. Maybe there already is and it's just not posted yet. Give real value even to the free people.
Biggest win: There are friendships already formed within the community. This should be every community owner's goal.
What I could have done better & will work towards doing better:
- Keeping up with all the comments and posts. There are a good bit of comments and posts I need to make my way through. For some reason, I really like to make sure I'm fully present when going through them, because I want to remember what everyone said.
- Need to be faster at authentically responding to all the DM's. I totally messed up and marked all as read on my DM's and I should have just paused what I was doing to go through all of them again. I'm back up to 34 people plus all the unknown marked as read ones. (It only tells you the amount of people that have DM'd you and not how many DM's they have sent. One guy I had to be honest with and say 14 messages back to back is too much for me.)
- Scheduling my time better with time blocking and having a calendar that works for me as a personal assistant will be crucial for me as I move forward. I will be getting to help me with this soon as a Christmas gift to myself.
- This last week I had family from out of town, and I showed up for the calls scheduled plus a few things here or there. I meant to be more active, but I wasn't. The beginning of the week had some interesting things happen with another community that consumed most of my Monday.
- I haven't reached out to the churned members yet, but I feel like I should spend my time replying to the ones who are still in and waiting. I probably should do both.
I am launching my paid community this week. I had thought it'd be today, but I want to get a few more things completed first. I may do an invite only launch today to anyone who has been on a call with me, and offer a special incentive to them only. (Or maybe those on the group call today.) Then on Wednesday do my official launch. Undecided. Either way, I am giving everyone that is in the community in the first week of launch a killer deal, then it'll go back to original pricing with my free to paid with optional free trial discount if on a call. This isn't to brag. This is to celebrate how amazing the opportunity is to be on Skool and have your own community. This is to encourage you to go after it. This is to encourage you to succeed by design. Learn what you need to learn, but then put it into action.
I already stated I've been in the "game" for a bit, and I have used the other platforms. I have made great money for myself and my clients on the other platforms. I WISH I WOULD HAVE DONE IT ON SKOOL!
Skool is the 10/10 recommend. There is not another platform that compares to what I have seen this do. I truly believe that with the right guidance, the willingness to not reinvent the wheel, the commitment to getting it done, the resilience to keep going, and the heart to build a better community, anyone can do this. Sam and his amazing team have built an incredible platform! ๐
Happy to answer any questions in the comments, when I have a moment. Happy to celebrate your wins too, so let me hear them! ๐ซถ
