Think we have been doing it all wrong. The real Business level application of AI is not on ChatGPT instead it's in the OpenAI Playground API ( Check the advanced features in it )
I've been relying on the Open AI API almost exclusively for over a year and a half. Without the advanced chatGPT option, the billing is pay as you go with no monthly minimum. My average monthly bill has been around $10 for all my personal desktop and programming use, even though I use it quite a bit. Response time varies quite a bit between gpt-3.5-turbo-1106 and gpt-4-1106-preview, with gpt-4 taking about 4-5 times as long. However, gpt-4 responses are typically more accurate if you are aiming for something specific. For those not using all the advanced features in the chatGPT interface, going straight to the Open AI API can be more responsive and considerably less expensive to use.
Thank youfor bringing pi.ai to my attention; the platform is indeed fascinating and the responses are impressive. Something, not many take into account is that whenever we utilize 'free' services such as Gmail, pi.ai, TikTok, etc., we, the users, essentially become the product. Be mindful of what you may be unintentionally sharing or giving up using those services. Stay safe.
I think OpenAi playground is awesome but if you're doing this for a business level, you're limited to credits which can be costly once you've hit a certain limit. Also, it's almost impossible to get OpenAi Enterprise, i've been trying for months now and they're only catering to VERY large companies.
Playground gives us the ability to use vision, speech to text, text to speech, it's really the best of all worlds.
