How I Knuckle Down My Prompts for GPT-4

I have been using this prompt successfully in GPT-4 Plus and thought I might share it.

"I want you to rate every prompt I give you. Give each prompt a rating from 1 to 10. Add comments on what you think I could have improved about it. Do this for every prompt. If your rating of the prompt is an 8 or higher, execute the prompt. [sometimes I leave this out if I am just building the prompt and want the feedback] If it is lower than that don't execute it, but generate me a better prompt." [--I cannot take credit for this as I grabbed an excellent starter "rate me" prompt from the engineers on Reddit.] 😁

Now I will bet the prompt engineering brains on here can spiff this up even more (please do and share) but it's now out there and I'm finding it helpful as GPT will provide feedback on why my prompt will not generate what I am hoping for; saves me time and frustration.
