Integrating Social Emotional Learning (SEL) into the Classroom: Part B of SEL Course: Positive Classroom Climate: Teachers will learn to foster a positive classroom environment by integrating SEL practices that enhance relationships and connections with students and their families. CCAPS will support staff in developing a deeper respect, enjoyment, and bond with their students through proximity, shared activities, social conversations, and positive expectations.

Understanding Neurodivergence and Creating Inclusive Classrooms • Neurodivergence Awareness: Teachers will gain a deeper understanding of neurodivergence, including conditions such as ADHD and autism, and how to create an inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners. • Behavior as Communication: Teachers will learn to interpret behaviors as forms of communication, understanding the underlying needs and emotions of neurodivergent students.
