Why did I start Career Quest?
Originally I started a community in sales, because I've been in mostly sales roles for the past ~6 years. But I realized that there are a TON of guys in the niche who are way better at sales than me, and that might not be the right fit if I wanted to grow and monetize a community quickly. So I sat down and wrote "what problems am I exceptionally good at solving?" at the top of my paper, and came up with a handful of things. One stood out though, by a lot. I have become exceptionally skilled at applying, interviewing, and getting hired at businesses near me. I have also been promoted VERY quickly compared to almost anybody I know, more than half the time. My friends and family would go weeks or months without a job after getting fired or laid off. It would seem like they spend all day applying to places, only to never hear back, or be ghosted after the first email from these companies. Meanwhile when sh*t hit the fan and I needed to make income NOW, I would be able to make a bunch of calls and have an interview within 48 hours, and be able to start working within a week after that more than 90% of the time. And more than half the time, I'd be offered a promotion within the first ~45 days. Coincidentally, I also job hopped a TON through my early 20's, looking for that hypothetical magic job where I'd learn to make millions in a handful of years. Haven't found that one yet, but the closest thing I have found would be entrepreneurship. This leads me to say: From a rough estimate, I have been hired at ~20 companies over the past 8 years, where I've worked more than ~3 months. I've also turned down many, many job offers. I have also directly gotten close friends of mine hired at places no less than 5 times in the past 2 years, with or without me working at said places. I could do the same for somebody else, and I can teach most people how. So here we are! Next post will contain my offer to you, and anybody you know. Welcome to Career Quest.
