I have found it to be effective for me to view my successes and failures in comparison to the past. Keeps me from comparing myself to others, and makes me focus solely on my own commitments.
This day last week I didnt walk my beloved dog, Mouse. I also didn't hit my water intake, skipped lunch, and the worst one: forgot to wish my sister a happy birthday.
So today, starting with that in mind, I will be extra sure to drink water, eat my meals, walk Mouse, and call family. Slowly but surely I will become the best version of myself by steadily improving on my failures while maintaining my successes.
