A post from my group: From Poverty to Dreaming Big
Holding a food stamp, going to eat at the government apartments front office to get these little lunches in a white box people came and passed out, and shopping at Payless was the life!
Or at least I thought. Sometimes I sit on top of these hills over looking campsites or rivers and never in my life imagined I would be there. This past weekend I was floating the Guadalupe River enjoying the cliffs and nature and was just lost. I was thinking about all the people that are in the position I was in growing up and don’t even know these things exist.
As I wrote this on vacation in El Salvador, I can say I am truly blessed, but it DID NOT come easy. I put in the work many times over. I’ve done 18-20 hour shifts while on salary, I’ve fell asleep at the wheel, and I’ve even gone off the road and hit a deer.
My dreams now, are so much bigger than ever before and as I develop the framework for them, I teach others how to develop their foundation. Let’s grind and grow together! Cut all the “all I want is to be comfortable or to pay the bills BS” and reach for the stars, because if you miss….. at least you’ll land on the moon.
(That’s my daughter saving a baby cow today)
