Here's a good short of Jim Rohn talking about keeping different things in your life separate. This will not only help you manage your time better but also help you stay focused on the tasks at hand.
Many times I experienced this during my college years and in life. I'd create the best schedule for myself to take the time to do certain things such as study, leisure, socializing, etc., but when it came around to do it I was very unfocused. I'd set about 3 hours in my day to study, but would only get maybe 1 hour of studying done because I'd be playing a game on my phone, talking to friends, or doom-scrolling on social media. Then when it came time to spend time with family or friends, I found myself thinking of having to study for my next big test or what assignments I had due.
Although I had the perfect schedule set for myself, I was never truly present in each time period which resulted in unsatisfactory results. I've been better at this aspect and it's something I still work on till this day.
How many of you have gone through this or are currently going through this? I'd love to hear your thoughts and stories!
