Should slamming be legal in BJJ?
I’ve always wondered why it’s not legal for the majority of tournaments. Even ADCC only allows it when there’s a threat of a submission. I’m not talking about spiking on their head or neck but a slam.
My thoughts are for youth and white belts probably keep them safe from themselves and not allow it. For all adult coloured belts, let’s see what happens. Easy way to not get slammed while triangle choking someone, let go of it, or lock up a leg to keep their posture broken.
I bet you’d see some interesting developments in the Gi game.
Also to those that jump guard and willing to risk blowing out your knees, you risk getting slammed via Seismic Toss, Machamp Style.
Thoughts?
