Spares are a Mental Game
Having confidence in spare shooting, HELPS you focus. Missing a spare means you lost focus, even for a split second. If you’re not confident, focusing is harder, when you are confident, focusing is easier. Confidence comes through MASSIVE repetitions

Single Pin Spare Shooting
I shot 100 single Pins the other day. I shot at full racks. I went 7-10-4-6. On the 7, i can’t hit the 2 On the 10, i cant hit the 3 On the 4, i cant hit the headpin On the 6, i cant hit the headpin. My stats: 7 pin | 16/25 10 pin | 19/25 4 Pin | 22/25 6 Pin | 23/25 Total: 80/100 These are abysmal, especially compared to my college days. I knew my spare shooting has suffered over the last 2 years, but seeing these horrendous numbers motivates me to get back to the 95-98% for single pins. I have to get better. Spares, more importantly single pins, needs to be something that even when you have an “off day” you still make em.

Friday night week 13
118, 153, 147 =418. Pretty abysmal, but I felt bad before league so that's that, I guess. I'm pre bowling the rest of the league or taking the blind since I'll have a surgery next week. All in, today's score had the same effect on my average that the blind would have.

Friday night week 12/16
172, 159, 158 = 489. New high series! Brought my league average up to 150. Had a couple shots that felt really good, but overall felt like a solid improvement to my mental game. I focused on a quiet mind and body.
