Ever have an emergency
If you’d had an emergency what was it and how did you react? What did you learn?
I had a throttle cable break on my first solo cross country (when they break it defaults full throttle in the 172). I contacted atc and got in touch with my CFI. The local field closed for me so I set up a 10 mile final and turned my engine off and on so I could do step down descents from 10,500-5200ft. Once I was 500 ft ago with the runway in glide I turned the engine off for the last time and landed.
If I did again today would just kill my engine above the airport and circle to land.
