I've recently been experimenting with NotebookLM, and I’m genuinely impressed by its capabilities! It’s quickly becoming a key part of my workflow, especially when it comes to processing voice recordings and turning them into actionable insights.

My Workflow

I frequently record conversations with my boss using the iPhone Voice Memos app. From there, I upload the recordings to NotebookLM (NLM) to analyze and organize the information. Some recent examples include:

New Project Kickoff: After discussing a new project with my boss, I used the recording and NLM to draft a quick post for our Teams channel, gathering feedback from colleagues.
Clarifying Roles: I processed several detailed conversations with different people about team roles, then drafted my role description and task lists for the next few weeks.
Client Meeting Prep: I combined recordings from a client meeting with notes from a coworker to create a detailed plan for their requirements and outline a demo of our software.

The Pain Point

Right now, the process of getting recordings into NotebookLM is a bit clunky:

Voice Memos sync to my Mac.
I copy them into Finder.
I manually upload them to NotebookLM, either into an existing notebook or a new one.

It works, but it’s far from seamless.

My Wish

I’d love an automation that streamlines this—something I can run directly from my phone to send recordings straight to NotebookLM (or similar AI software).

I’m open to exploring other tools if there’s a better fit. The ultimate goal is simple: make voice recordings instantly accessible to an AI for processing meeting notes and generating actionable outputs.
