Great to have another Finn 🇫🇮!
Church automations
I’m looking to build automations with our church software like - Planning Center (PCO) - the "CRM" - Church Center - managing groups & comms - Slack, Signal - communications - Asana - project and task management - Brevo - Emails, newsletters - EDIT: Twilio for sending SMS (used with ShortySMS from AppSumo) Anyone familiar with building automations for these?

Hey Mason, I’d like to add another important piece to my church automation project: building a calling workflow for pastors and leaders. Here’s what I mean: 6. Streamlined Calling Flows: We want to organize and automate the process of leaders following up with people through phone calls. This could include: • First-time visitors • People responding to altar calls • Baptism and other event invitations The main goal is to avoid duplicate calls or confusion when multiple leaders are involved. For example: • When one pastor makes a call, it should be logged in Planning Center automatically. • Other pastors should be able to see who’s been contacted and any notes from those calls without needing to open individual profiles. • Leaders should also be able to move people into the next step of a flow (like adding them to a baptism preparation list) easily. The ideal system would make it simple for pastors to focus on ministry without spending too much time wrestling with admin tasks. If you have ideas or know tools that can integrate well with Planning Center for this kind of workflow, I’d love to hear them!

@Mason Anderson Thanks Mason, your feedback was very helpful. It was great to see what you had done with Twilio back in the day. I'll be sure to both share here as the journey progresses and jump in with specific questions.
Feedback on classroom? ✏️
What's up guys! How is the course content in the classroom? I'm open to any feedback you may have. That way I can implement any changes to any new content here, as well as for the paid community. Let me know in the comments!

I was hoping for more actionable examples, though, as the content felt a bit too basic to be practical for my needs.
Enhancing the Value of Our Community with Actionable Automations
First off, a big thank you to @Mason Anderson for building such an amazing space! I was really excited to join as soon as I heard about it, and I’ve already learned a lot from your teachings on no-code automation. That said, while the foundational knowledge has been really helpful, I believe there’s a great opportunity to boost the value of the community by adding more actionable, how-to content. Actionable resources not only help us implement what we’re learning but also make the community even more recommendable to others who are looking to get real, hands-on results from automation. Mason, perhaps as you continue to lead the way, there could be a chance to introduce content that shows step-by-step workflows and automations that coaches, consultants, and business professionals can start using right away. (You could even welcome some senior community members to share their favorite entry-level automations, if you consider it helpful for the community dynamics.) This kind of practical guidance could be what really makes the community stand out and attract even more participants. When the current members can quickly get results, both their testimonials and word of mouth can help the group grow. Here are some ideas for potential workflows or automation tutorials that could be highly valuable: - Content Creation and Scheduling Workflows: Automate the generation and scheduling of social media content using ChatGPT and Make.com, keeping your online presence consistent. - Lead Qualification and Follow-Up: Set up automations that qualify incoming leads and automatically trigger personalized follow-up sequences. - Competitor tracking: follow up on changes on competitor's website and social profiles, with a weekly summary in your inbox. - Client Onboarding Automations: Streamline the onboarding process with tools like Make.com, ensuring every step—from document signing to welcome emails—is handled seamlessly.
