Anxiety-Management Technique
Is anxiety turning you into a human pretzel during big moments?
Up to 50% of people with ADHD have an anxiety disorder. ADHD and anxiety are separate conditions, but they can often occur together.
The challenges of ADHD can lead to frequent problems at home, work, and school, which can contribute to anxiety.
Worry not...Here's a nifty trick to untangle those nerves and project confidence:
  • Inhale through your nose like you're sniffing the last cookie on earth for a cool 4 seconds.
  • Hold that breath in like you're trying to keep a secret for another 4 seconds.
  • Exhale slowly through your mouth, pretending you're blowing out birthday candles – take 4 seconds.
  • Hold again, (because we all need a break), for 4 more seconds.
This little box of breath will chill your inner chaos, slow your heart-rate and sharpen your focus sharper than a razor blade.
Do this before any big showdowns, and you will be ready to face the world with the calm of a Zen master and the confidence of a superhero.
