Getting Rid of the Victim Mentality
The reality is, must of our athletic careers didn't go as planned.
Maybe you dealt with injuries, didn't get to play, had a bad relationship with your coach, you name it.
If yours went well then a huge congrats! You are part of the 10%.
But the issue isn't that your career didn't go how you wanted, it's the mindset you have around it.
No matter how good or bad you career went in your eyes, there are extremely valuable lessons that you HAD to experience to step into your true purpose.
Our careers as athletes are just the building blocks to becoming our best self. We actually have an advantage, because it takes most people 30+ years to learn these lessons, and that's if they ever learn them at all.
What parts of your athletic career have you viewed negatively?
As you have learned more about what your purpose is outside of sports, how were these moments actually necessary to go through?
