Get to know me!
I'm Nadya, a mother to two boys based in Bend, Oregon (USA). I began my motherhood journey in the height of covid in August 2020, and like many others during that time, mourned what I was not able to participate in as a mother's rite of passage: showing off the baby bump in public, having a baby shower, including friends and family at the hospital (though I wasn't too pressed about this one), and having lots of people come meet my sweet newborn in or outside of the house. This was a rocky and emotional start to motherhood, a chapter that already shakes a woman to her core and brings into question who she is as a person. Add to this the fact that I had never had clear direction, nor was I ever invited into conversation around understanding my soul purpose in life. In fact, just talking about one's soul purpose was quite "woo woo" for my family, who is all typical American middle class, keep your head down and don't ask questions, go to college and get a job in business, don't ask questions, keep up with the Joneses, business. Soul purpose? Who cared. All this to say, I was directionless in life and then became a mother and had quite the internal crisis. It wasn't until shortly before my oldest turned 4 (years later!) that I realized I needed to ground myself in a purpose that was intricately tied to my soul. A True North so to speak, guiding and directing my life. Realizing this and pinning down my own personal soul purpose has actually been quite freeing - it has allowed me to move forward in decisions that are meant for me and to confidently say no to what doesn't serve me. This shift has been absolutely instrumental in my life, giving me yes purpose, but also a peaceful spirit even in the chaos of motherhood as a result. I've started this group as a way to help other mothers explore what's meaningful to them, pin down a soul purpose, and support living in harmony and alignment with this purpose. I know how impactful this can be on your life, and I'm here for the journey. Glad you're here.
