Switching from POD to printable?
Last year I was new to AI art and decided to open an Etsy shop selling wall art using Print on Demand. I will be 100% honest in that i set up the shop and then moved on to other things. It was an experiment - can this work? Will anyone buy? Can I "set it and forget it?"
The results: I've had a handful of sales AND I LOST MONEY ON EACH ONE 🤯 Example: I made a sale this past week: sale was for $60.75. I paid out $54.94 to the POD company. Etsy deposited $41.25 in my account. The ads and fees killed me. The exorbitant cost of POD wall art also killed me.
The next realization? I've had THREE THOUSAND VIEWS in this shop. To me, having put zero effort into driving traffic or nurturing this shop, means that I left a lot of money on the table.
Heck with this I'm going to upload those files and make them printable!
If anyone has advice or thoughts to share on this please do- I'm all up in my head lol and I need some daylight!
