Need advice if to choose the safe way or risk it all. PLS READ THIS!!
Hey guys, I know it’s a lot of text but I really need help. I need different advice and opinions on what you guys would do or what I should do in this situation.
So, I am 16 years old and I’m going to be a junior this year (11th grade). I switched to online school during freshman year because I hated school in the educational way, not in the social way. I hated the teachers, the useless homework every day, and the tests every week. Plus, I was doing a sport and playing an instrument while also trying to be an entrepreneur and start my trading journey. So, I switched to online school and I don’t regret it at all. My mind has never been so much at peace. I have learned so much since I went online: how to make money, how to manage it, the psychological side of money, real-world problems. I’ve read multiple books, not only on the entrepreneurial side but also on the philosophical side of the world. I watched Matt every single time he dropped a video, of course, lol. I watched courses and learned everything about what you really need in life, you know. All my time and energy have been so well used that in a single year, I have become a whole different person. I know I wouldn’t have accomplished any of what I have done if I had never switched to online school. I can also do what I love, which is making money, and while I enjoy the journey, of course.
For anyone who asks why I don’t drop out, I can’t drop out since my parents want me to go to college. I also don’t think dropping out would be a good idea anyway. I do think finishing high school is kind of important, at least until I have made a successful business, but I’m just doubting about college. Also, the only reason I would go to college is for the people that I will meet there, like lawyers and doctors, and just people who might be helpful for my business or just anything in my life in general—not for the dumb degree.
Now here’s the thing: if I want to go to college, I need to take certain classes, like Advanced Placement classes, to at least get a better chance to attend the university that I want to go to. Plus, all the tests I am going to have to study for and all the time I’m going to need to spend on schoolwork, even if it’s online, will still be hard. Since I started my SMMA journey 2 months ago, I’ve been so focused on getting everything started and learning the fundamentals. I know that if I take all those hard and annoying classes, I will not have the time needed to start the agency and to grind. Also, considering that I do trading, which I will be able to continue doing since I have already spent time learning that and it is already a skill that I have, trading will only take me 3 hours a day max. Of course, it is not the same when it comes to managing an agency, getting clients, and more.
So, I have two options:
Option 1: Apply for all those hard classes, and I will probably not have time to continue with my agency journey. I will have to grind with all the hard classes to hopefully get an MBA degree at a college and maybe be someone in life.
Option 2: Apply to regular classes and cheat on them, which is what I did all sophomore year. It’s still crazy that I managed to pass all my tests in person, but this year is different since I need to take the hardest tests, which are the SAT and ACT state tests also in person. and If I cheat on my classes to get work done throughout the year, there is no hope for me of passing the test, so that means I might not be able to be accepted to the college that I want to go to. But I will have time to grind on the agency, lock in, and pray that everything works out, you know.
So I just really need someone that has gone through this. Or just someone that can open my mind to new ideas maybe or opinions and advices on what to do anything is accepted.
