How To Make Discipline So Easy That It’s Hard To Procrastinate
You might have heard the advice that “You need to suffer. You need to go through as much pain as humanly possible, then you’ll hit your goals”
A lot of people in this space give that advice - Charlie Morgan, Sam Ovens, etc.
But the people who follow this advice don’t realize that they’re making a FATAL mistake.
You don’t need to use low vibrational emotions (anger, fear, guilt, self-pity) to fuel your success.
That’s completely BACKWARDS. You’re just going to burn out, hate what you do, which will lead you to creating a shit product with a bad reputation, and eventually, you’ll just give up.
There’s a FAR superior method for doing the work that will literally supercharge your productivity.
And it’s to stay on a high FREQUENCY.
When you wake up and you’re actually excited to get work done, you’re energized throughout the entire day, tasks feel effortless, ideas flow freely, time seems to fly by, you’re optimistic, happy, and you feel genuine fulfillment and peace.
No negative emotions, just bliss. That’s what it feels like to be on a high frequency.
And believe it or not, this is a state that you can actually default to so that it becomes normal.
There’s a couple ways you can do that.
The first is very simple - Magnetism.
When you’re magnetized to do the work, when you WANT to work, you do the most work, and it’s of a higher quality.
And it’s a lot more simple to reach this state of magnetism than you think. You just need MOMENTUM.
Momentum is when one accomplishment leads to the next and you make rapidly fast progress, you have a feeling of urgency and excitement, you’re on a roll and nothing can slow you down.
And you gain momentum through obsession.
I’ll give you a weird example to make this clear haha.
In the same way that some weirdo guy would obsess about a girl and constantly check her Instagram pages, Snapchat stories, checking if she replied to his text messages, constantly sending her “wyd?” “how are you?” messages, always trying to be as close as possible to her when they’re in the same room, constantly looking up at her to see what she’s doing in every spare moment, etc..
That is the same way that you need to be towards your purpose and the work you’re doing in the business.
Meaning, in every spare second you have, you’re thinking about, reading about, and doing anything you can to move towards your goal.
When you’re eating, when you’re in the shower, you’re on a walk, you’re thinking of your purpose and how you can grow your business.
(Obsessive, I know. But this is your life. And your goals. Who gives a fuck what anyone else thinks? We’re all going to die soon anyways. We might as well make something great in the little time we have left.)
Anyways, that’s obsession. But it’s pretty much impossible to be obsessed with something you hate.
Yet, that’s how most people operate their businesses. Every task feels like a chore, a boring requirement. And that’s exactly why so many people give up.
But you can make the work genuinely feel FUN.
In fact, the most productive and successful entrepreneurs who get the most work done are the people who genuinely view their work as something fun to do.
They work so much because there’s NOTHING else they’d rather do.
Imagine how much you could increase your output if you could make working on your business the most fun thing in your life.
You would easily outcompete everyone and hit your goals in half the time.
Let me give you an example. When someone asked Alex Hormozi what his hobbies were, his reply was “Business. Business is my hobby”.. No wonder why the motherfucker gets so much shit done haha.
Yes, discipline takes a part. But he’s mostly fueled by love and passion for what he does.
And as much as everyone preaches discipline, you don’t want to SOLELY rely on it.
Because even though it does work, your mental health takes a huge toll (imagine forcing yourself to do something you hate for 8+ hours every single day for years), you’d end up as some grumpy old person that no one likes.
Please DO NOT fall for this trap. You have to learn to love the work. Because success without personal fulfillment is the ultimate failure.
Read that again.
And that’s the same reason why you find people saying “When I was 20, I wanted to be a millionaire. But once I become a millionaire, I wanted to be 20”
So here’s a few things you can do to really start to love the work.
The first thing is to simply buy things that you love to use. Buy the newest computers, mouses, keyboards, desks, softwares, courses, coaches, etc so that you can feel magnetized to do the work.
Then find friends doing the same business model and call them everyday or every other day, talking about lessons from the day, strategy, what tasks you got done, etc.
Then get your health right. Get 9-10 hours of sleep every single night. Have a clean diet. Exercise at least a few times a week. Get a couple hours of sunlight everyday. Meditate daily. Spend more time with loved ones. Go deeper into spirituality.
Then fix your dopamine levels. It’s hard for work to feel fun when you’re still scrolling on social media, eating junk foods, listening to music, watching movies, porn, etc. To do this, you have to cut the stimulating shit out of your life.
And the last thing is to rearrange your expectations. If you expect to hit $10k/month in 6 months and you’re worried and stressing that you’re not on track to hitting it, the work is going to feel less motivating & you’re going to feel left behind, you’re going to enter a negative frequency (we talked about this earlier), and you’ll just give up.
That’s about it. Follow everything I said in this post and I promise you, your productivity levels will skyrocket and you’ll feel a lot happier and less stressed.
Make it effortless,
Andrew
