The favourite one I did was a fanfiction - the reason it was my favourite is it was back in high school, and my closest friends had input into the story, made us all characters - it was a fun time creating with them, which is why it became my favourite
The daily pet thread
I thought it might be nice to have a daily pet thread. Here's Daphne, whom some of you might already know about. She's about 11 years old and an incredible sweetie (unless you're another dog or the USPS).

Do you consider morning pages/journaling "writing"?
I'm curious, if you do something like journaling or Morning Pages (as per Julia Cameron's The Artist's Way): What's your take on the relationship of that practice to your writing in general? Do you consider journaling/MPs "writing"? If yes, or no, why or why not?

I believe them to be - anytime you put words on the page, you are writing. It doesn’t need to be a story. Thinking about your writing also counts
Introductions ⭐
This is the introduction thread. Say hi, tell us where you’re from and what your writing is all about! In your introduction, answer these 4 questions: ➡️ What is your name (preferred pronouns as well, if you don't mind) ➡️ Why did you decide to join The Unexpected Shape Café? ➡️ What is your favorite book? ➡️ What are you interested in writing about? We can’t wait to meet you! If you'd like to share anything else as well, feel free! And welcome!

Hey all Zoe (she/they) here, located in Western Australia (but UK born). I joined to get that extra motivation from the writing community to keep going with my writing. I started writing back in high school and it became the safe hobby to go back to. Favourite book - I love the classics, my go to is usually Mary Poppins by PL Travers or Alice in Wonderland. They are my comfort reads for a cozy afternoon. But also love a psychological thriller - Jar of Hearts & You are my go tos. I’m working on a long fiction series at the moment, based on myself and life experiences - only pumped with tragedy and drama. It’s a fun writing journey, except the dreaded writing blocks
