Will the recordings and other content be on the teachable account. It isn’t on there yet
⚠️ Important Annoucement
The Skool account for the Inner Circle Monthly Mastermind will be shut down on 31st December 2023 as I move to my next phase and goals in life (contributing more towards the primary care and medical services side of things). We are moving back to the Teachable learning platform, so if you have purchased the lifetime membership and have moved over from Teachable, you will still have lifetime access to the course content from your Teachable account. All lifetime members are also welcome to add me on Facebook and message me if you ever get stuck or need additional accountability. If you only have a Skool account with us, sign up on Teachable here, then email us at support@studysmarter.academy with the email you used to sign up, so we can add you to the course. If you have any questions, feel free to ask under this post. Wishing you all the best in your future endeavours! Dr Hugo

Hi Kasalaine, hope you’re well. A drop in session is where Dr Hugo answers any questions you may have with your study situation whether it be mentality, methods or action taking or anything more specific. He does this specifically by trying to delve into your own personal situation/ experience to encourage you to find solutions of your own to your situation. Think of it like office hours for university is the closest thing that it could be like. The sessions are all over zoom. To get the link to the session. Go to Skool app you’re on. Go to calendar. The date of the drop in session (usually has a blue circle in it). Click on it and a zoom link will come up telling you the time of the drop in session. Drop in sessions are usually around 1 hr. I hope that answers your question. If you have any more please do not hesitate to ask.
5/10/15 Rule
Hi Dr Hugo, The end of Day 3 some of the students refer to this rule. Where do I find how to learn this rule? I`ve gone through all of Day 3`s stuff and cant seem to find the explanation apart from a student called Zakir. What am I missing here? Please may you point me in the right direction. Thank you

Hi, my name is Zakir. I’ll explain what is the 5-10-15 rule is and it’s purpose. The 5-10-15 rule is a way of explaining a concept at 3 different stages. 1) Explain to an absolute beginner with no knowledge of complicated terminology where you have to use simple language and short concise sentences and clear analogies that are as vivid as you can to explain the concept to a beginner - a “5 year old”. This is crucial in order to obtain a very big overall picture of the concept you are trying to learn and is like the anchor of your concept. It holds it together. If you can explain to a “5 year old” level then you truly understand the basic big picture of the concept and can really start wresting and manipulating with the information at a deeper level. You essentially have a strong foundation like a house. TIP: explain as simply as possible. Sentences should be short sweet concise most of the time. genuinely imagine you are explaining to a 5- year old, and try to “dumb down” you’re language wherever possible. 2) explaining at a moderate level. This is the 10 of the 5–10-15 rule, explaining to a “10 year old”. Now 10 year olds are usually more advanced than 5 year olds. They can form logic follow patterns as long as you can explain in an orderly logical fashion that is coherent and consistent they will usually understand. You can start introducing jargon/vocabulary and even try to explain it in this stage. You’re explanations should be more detailed but not too overwhelming. You could perhaps involve more analogies and comparisons to own personal or general relatable experiences to make it easier to explain. 3) explaining it to a high/ examinable standard/ a “15 year old”. 15 year olds usually are intelligent and the key point is think for themselves. Which means they can decipher logic and make connections of their own. The difference between this explanation and the explaining to a 10 year old is now you can use the complicated jargon these are the explanations of a concept you would put on an exam paper. These are the explanations you would give to a fellow classmate who understands the subject. You don’t have to explain from scratch. Of course you want to keep explanations concise use analogies. Be creative with the way you explain and try to be out of the box with your explanations. Don’t give the standard textbook explanations if you can. Remember there are countless ways to understand and synthesise information.

Also I would recommend watching the video on the Essential bonus study hacks module. Section : learning how to learn applications The 39 second video on the 5-10-15 rule by Dr Hugo. It truly simplifies the different ways you can carry out the “explanations” I refer to in my previous post in order to maximise out of your 5-10-15 “sessions” per say by performing different variations of the “explanations” and incorporating 3D learning- which is using different study techniques to obtain new insight/ angle on a concept. Please watch that video if you want a way to use the 5-10-15 method
