What are your three 'to do's' today? Here's mine: 1. Prepare for meeting with new client tomorrow (work) 2. Download Suze Orman's Life Documents for review (personal) 3. Finish newsletter for November (work) I am diligent about not overscheduling myself for several reasons: 1. I don't like to feel rushed or stressed 2. I want to feel accomplished at the end of the day 3. I need to ensure I leave enough time in my day for the unexpected I usually have 2 work tasks and one personal task. Would love to hear your list and your thoughts on this.

@Sue Shier yes, and I never found success with green screen-type backgrounds probably because there would be holes through my curly hair haha. And I don't want to need a buzzcut for every video!

@Sue Shier ha and I forgot to add that trying to white balance my camera has made my room look like the snow palace from Narnia at times.
Sharing Freebies
Hey all - I promised there is no selling in this space. I see a great opportunity for us to SHARE any freebies, guides, templates, etc. you may have. We all use these freebies as lead magnets (most of the time), but here is an opportunity to share what you have in a smaller and more intimate setting - with no expectations in return. I firmly believe that if you engage with each other here, you will build relationships and partnerships over time. This extension of goodwill is at the core of great networking behavior. So don't hide your freebies from people who can use them, recommend them, and ultimately support your efforts. If this sounds like something you'd like to do, please send me a message with your share. If you are not interested in this, no worries! I hope the resources here help you navigate each day a little bit smoother and with more calm and peace. Be sure to check out the 'classroom' section. There are already resources here, and many more are to be added.

Sharing Freebies

I'm supportive of this especially if it's reference material to what we commented earlier. We've discovered so many ways to improve our lives - and we want to give others to opportunity to see if such methods work for themselves, too. Having a freebie, even if it's a link to source material, would be supportive.

Thanks for putting this on the Calendar - helps me get "putting things on my calendar" item done!
Tisha's Share
@Tisha Castillo shared a powerful poem on LinkedIn this morning, and I wanted to share it here. 👉 The Dash by Linda Ellis I read of a man who stood to speak at the funeral of a friend. He referred to the dates on the tombstone from the beginning to the end. He noted first came the date of the birth and spoke the following date with tears. But he said what mattered most of all was the dash between the years. For that dash represents all the time that they spent life on Earth. And now only those who loved them know what that little line is worth. For it matters not how much we own, the cars, the house, the cash. What matters is how we live and love and how we spend our dash. So, think about this long and hard. Are there things you’d like to change? For you never know how much time is left that can still be rearranged. If we could slow down enough to consider what’s true and real and always try to understand how others feel. Be less quick to anger, show appreciation more, and love the people in our lives like we’ve never loved before. If we treat each other respectfully and wear a smile more often, remember that this special dash might only last a little while. So, when your eulogy is being read with your life’s actions to rehash, would you be proud of the things they say about how you spent your dash? I will post this in our "Motivation Corner" (yes! We have a motivation corner. If you haven't discovered it yet, you can find it under the "classroom" setting.)

The dash! And "For you never know how much time is left that can still be rearranged..." if we consider throughout all the time of humanity, the likelihood that one of us got to experience our time here is infinitesimal - what a great "dash" we can make it!
Do You Work Weekends?

Do You Work Weekends?

I'm with @Sarah Mooers -- often I find the weekends more "structuable" that I can focus on work uninterrupted. That said, I tweaked my work week so that family time or other things to do weren't replaced!!

@Sue Shier I'll share this also - that tweak in the work week has more than made up for the weekend work hours. Extra time with my son, even at his most groggiest lol, has really cemented my drive to become someone who can always say "Yes" when my children ask "Dad, do you have some time now?" I have a friend who was able to achieve this - and it has been inspiring!
