@Nicolaus Nosewicz I won't answer the first question, as it might undermine my membership status in this group :D. Regarding the second point: It's hard to say definitively. However, it finally seems that detectors are getting better (until generative AI leaps ahead again). It will always be a chase game. For example, Pangram Labs continues to impress me - their technology and accuracy are currently the best in the business. The real question is how to educate educators to deal with gen AI (fast). Critical essays should be written in class, with some kind of version history, etc.

@Paz Elad I can see why that is. However, I still think its critical to keep the little ones without AI assitance as long as possible. Just to develop some basic levels of creativity, critical thinking etc. And also, a class dedicated to mastering prompts should be a thing :).
