Welcome to Agile Trainer Hub!
Welcome to the group. The motivation behind this group is simple. By providing a community that is equally beneficial for students and trainers, students can have a place to receive free information and can express their interest in taking paid training courses from the trainers. I can write a book about how this is beneficial to everybody, but a real world example can drive the point home better than my book would. For example. Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) SPC trainers can provide students with the SAFe certification courses. The SPC trainers typically have to spend at least $5k per year to be able to get their training courses listed on the Scaled Agile Calendar. The different courses vary in price, but most typically range from $995 - $1195. Not a bad gig for a trainer...but, there's one major issue. Trainers typically have 1-3 students on average per course and they often don't even run the scheduled course because they lack students. Newer trainers, rarely get more than 2. Then scaled Agile gets their cut (I'm not sure exactly how much that is, I don't have my SPC certification yet). So hypothetically, a trainer typically makes $2k per course and schedules 3 courses per week. Only 1 or 2 of those courses get enough students to run. We'll say 1.5 on average. That's approximately $3k per week on average. Still not too bad, but that's also a full time job with no benefits and you have to be available for 6 days a week. After paying insurance, 401k, taxes and etc, it's not too great either. If only there were a place to connect more students with the trainers and the students had a direct line of communication with the trainers so the students could express their interest in select courses beforehand. 🤔 That's exactly what I'm trying to accomplish with this community! In summary, what I want for this community is: ✅Students to have access to career changing information ✅Trainers to be able to fill their classes, lower their prices and still make more money
