High expectations for Impromptu Speaking
One of my managers just gave me a wonderful tip that I thought I would share here to help the community. What makes impromptu speaking difficult is the high expectations we attach to it. It gives us performance anxiety! We can lessen the stress by reminding ourselves that there is no "right" way to talk. Sometimes it helps to aim for just getting the job done. So don't focus on making an impression, focus on getting the job done! Hope this helps!

Thanks for sharing that @Preston Chin . Yes 80% of our results definitely come from 20% of our efforts. I find applying that in other areas of our life helps as well! Speaking fast is the enemy of any kind of speaking. Even 1:1 when we talk to people, if we talk too fast, the other person will have trouble keeping up with what we are saying!

@Jonathan R Nice to meet you! Speaking your mind is so important. If you do not do that then you don't connect with the people you talk to and they dont know the real you! I was like that too for a long time. life can get very unfulfilling

@Vincent Dinh I used to work in a startup and I wore many hats there. I would say I was a scrum master for 2 years. How long have you been a Scrum Master?
