You know, I just realized something really powerful. When you’ve got a new project in life—whether it’s music or something else—it takes a lot of sacrifices and compromises. All because you want to succeed and stay laser-focused on what you’re doing, with no distractions. Let me break it down from my perspective. See, I used to make time every month to hit a restaurant with my best friend or go out to some party. But ever since I started getting into beatmaking, I just don’t have the time. I’m so locked into my grind, working to get better and become more than I am now, that I’ve found myself turning down every invitation. Some people might think I’m distancing myself or that I’ve got beef with them, but honestly, I’m just focused on growing. Now, with Christmas and New Year’s coming up, I don’t even know if I’ll be able to celebrate like I used to. Between saving up for new gear and planning my trip to Atlanta in February (by the way, if anyone here is from Atlanta, it’d be dope to link up in real life), my mind’s been on something completely different.
