Where to stay between October - February
Hey team! ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿผ I'm living in Germany and the Winter months here are grey and cold. Do you have any suggestions or experiences where in the world it's nice to be at during this time?

Koh Phangan is an island off the coast of Thailand it's one of the nicest places I've ever been. You can rent a condo there for around $200 to $300 per month. I would only recommend Koh Phangan if you want a place to relax because you can get bored there after a while, but it is beautiful.
Day in the life of a Digital Nomad
Hey guys, I'm Tyler. I've been living out here in Thailand for 2 months now, and I have been helping Brett run the Nomad School Community. I'm planning on staying here for another year and I thought it would be interesting to share my average day as a Digital Nomad and also get to hear what your average day is like. I usually wake up at around 11 AM and as soon as I wake up I go out and get breakfast. At around 12 AM I'll start work. I usually work for about 2 hours and then I go and do my fitness at around 2 PM which is usually a swim or a walk. After I've done my fitness I grab lunch and chill for a bit. Then at around 4 PM I work for another 2 hours or so to get the 4 hours a day in. Then when I'm done work I go down to the steam room, come home, and sometimes I'll order myself a takeaway at around 8 or 9 PM. That's my average day but I would love to hear about yours! Also if you ever have any questions feel free to contact me in the DM's.

getting rid of what you own...
I am in the process of getting rid of a lot of things I own and I am finding it difficult. Some stuff are easy to get rid of, but others...idk. I've done this before. Three years ago I moved from a 3 and a half to a studio apartment. So I don't have that much, but still, i am not sure why I find it hard right now. I really envy people who travel light. I really like the idea of minimalism, but I think there is some psychological clean up to do as well. Anyone went through this? how did you get rid of most of your stuff? Did you keep it to a minimum after or did you re-collect stuff in your new place?

I think the best option would be to just get rid of things that are not completely necessary to keep. After you move you will find that you start forgetting about those things completely and it also makes your life much much easier when going through the process of moving.
How to make international calls
What do you use to communicate with clients or family and friends in foreign countries? I have been using Skype for years, it's cheap to get a foreign number and they also offer subscriptions so that you can call any specific country for cheap. For ยฃ6 a month I can call Ireland for 400 minutes.

@Chris Adams Yes I also use WhatsApp but I have constantly had connection issues while calling back home. Have you have any issues with WhatsApp?
What drives you to want to become a digital nomad?
I'll start. For me, it was the toxic environment in the UK that pushed me away. I felt like people were just out to get each other, and it was reflected everywhereโ€”from neighbors to institutions like the police. I didn't even realise this negativity was the root cause of my depression until I came to Thailand. The way people interact here, while not perfect, is a world apart from what I experienced back home. So, what's your story? What's motivating you to chase the digital nomad life? Let us know in the comments ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿป

@Ani Wee I always find it funny when I talk to someone outside of the UK and they say they want to move to England. It makes me wonder what they see or what they are told about the UK to bring them to this decision.
