Down some lbs....personal win!
Hey all! I don't post much but Ive been on my overall health journey for a bit now. Ive learned and implemented into my daily life so much now...from here and a couple of other groups Im involved in between here and Facebook. Ive managed to implement a few key things to my daily routine and stay fairly consistant through it all. But the biggest thing for me has been the concept of changing your mindset. After all, you have to get your mindset in the right place before your really capable of setting about real change. I mean....theres always a root cause or issue that causes us to reach for those things that aren't good for us....right? We all know that eating an apple is better for us than eating that apple pie....but we tend to reach for that pie anyway right? My point is...until we fix the root cause of our unhealthy choices we'll continue to reach for that apple pie and wonder why we can't get our shit together. Ok rant over! Lol The whole point of coming on here was to share my win for the week, which is that Ive lost a whopping 5lbs in a week! May not seem like allot to some...but it's everything to me and such great validation that Im on track and doin the damn thing! Woohoo! Ok...y'all can continue your day now! Lol 😂

Yeah the mindset is really the key. Do you identify as an apple eater or an apple pie eater. And being an apple eater does not mean you never have apple pie, it’s just not the norm. Congrats on the weight loss, that’s a good win!!
Wisdom Wednesday
Goooood morning everyone! Happy Wednesday - make sure you get up and crush the day! For today's wisdom, I randomly stumbled upon this quote and it hit so hard!-- "What happens is not as important as how you react to what happens." - Ellen Glasgow I am currently working/building something that I feel is going to be so huge for so many people based on what I have learned and gained over the last 3 years. Going from who I was to who I am now which is a completely new mindset and thought process system and this quote hit it to the core. So, I have a question based on this quote - What is your immediate reaction style? Are you an emotional reacter or are you able to disconnect from the emotions to react logically and thoughtfully? It's a good question to stew on! Let us know in the comments! Have the best Wednesday ever - and per usual, do something that will get you one tiny step closer to your goals today!

I love this quote. It makes me think of the book "Mans search for meaning" by Viktor Frankl. He was a survivor of the Nazi internment camps while a bunch of his family died there. His quote is "Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of human freedoms-- to choose one's attitude in any given set of circumstances" I have not been through anything as bad as an internment camp, but I've had some hard times that have forced me to learn this lesson. I used to be more of a emotional reactor, now I have a better ability to see the emotions for what they are and then choose my response to situations.
Tonight's call!
GUYS! I thought I was going to be able to get on the call tonight with no issues - The link is still live, but I am traveling and it's a realllll long travel day on 2 hours of sleep, so I'm not sure my eyes will be open when I get home tonight! Just a heads up! I will keep posted!

I may not be able to make tonight myself. Currently on the turnpike working on a truck, and I’m not a mechanic 🥹
See you guys at 6!
Happy Monday and week 4 of our calls! So, as I was reading through all of our goals on the sheet, I came to realize that what we are all doing is a much longer goal than 4 weeks. -- so, I would like to continue working on the same goal and we can chat about the timeline more, but I feel like we are making strides on the current ones, yet barely starting at the same time! I want to see us all be so successful in these and help each other till the end! What do you think? I was pondering my ideas on 'what to do next' and going to have a vote, BUT WE CANT STOP WHAT WE HAVE BUILDING, RIGHT?! (we can't all start together and then drift apart from seeing each others weekly progress!) I also feel like the book club idea is 100% a good idea. What books would you guys recommend for when we start this?

@JoJo Jorge join us next Monday, each week we discuss how we did at our previous week’s action items and then set new action items for the next week. It’s been a very helpful group for keeping us on track and accountable with our goals.
Something Saturday
Hey guys - Happy Saturday! Friendly reminder to get out and do something that makes you happy and/or one step closer to reaching a goal you have! It's a rainy day here in South FL, so I got my workout in early and now sitting at my desk grinding to get all the content made for the group with fun things coming! Monday - we have our 4 week accountability check in. Part of my grind today is coming up with our next thing, so I will have ideas and options for a vote coming by the end of day tomorrow so we can keep our weekly calls up and chipping away towards all of our goals together! Have an awesome Saturday!

I had a crazy day yesterday and I was going to skip paddle boarding because of it (a tentative plan with a friend). My boy really wanted to go so I called up my friend last minute and decided to go. We ended up going for an hour paddle with my boys. It was dark by the time we finished but it was actually really cool because the moonlight on the intercoastal gave off plenty of light.
