The bait comes with a hook!!
For all you anglers and even non anglers, the one undeniable truth is that the lure or bait always has a hook hidden inside of it. Well the Enemy works the same way especially in porn addictions. I’m ashamed to say he’s netted me a couple times in the last few weeks. So I am coming forward to confess my sin, and ask each of you to pray for me that the shiny, pretty, and oh so subtle lures can be better recognized by me and to stay away, and regain my relationship to the Lord which I allowed to grow dim. Thanks Guys!!

Introduce Yourself! (Start Here 🔥)
Hi! Welcome to Intentional Men. This community helps men get the tools and resources needed to walk in integrity to make an impact on the world. Step 1: Introduce yourself below! (✄ copy/paste template 👇) 1️⃣ Who are you, where are you from and who do you work with? 2️⃣ What do you want to get out of being in this community? 3️⃣ For fun what do you like to do? 4️⃣ Drop a photo of your office space or where you like to do work from. I'll go first... 🙋 1️⃣ My name is Denis Gerasimov, I am a part-time pastor, married to my lovely wife Anna (for 9 years now!), and have 4 amazing kids (Ezra - 7, Kataleya - 5, Aria - 3, Micah - 1). I dabbled in the business world (start-ups) when I graduated from CSUEB with a marketing/finance degree. God called me to seminary/ministry and here I am now. Live in the wonderful Bay Area where my parents immigrated to from the former Soviet Union back in 1991. 2️⃣ What I want out of this community is to be able to serve you. To help men be who God created them to be. Solid men = solid families = solid society. 🤯 I want to make new friends and inspire hope in men who think life without p*rn is not possible so that they can impact others. 3️⃣ For fun I enjoy hiking, traveling with the fam, playing guitar, and eating yummy food. Love creating things like this community and helping people. 4️⃣ My office is currently at Wework. 😁 (and at home if I need to watch kids) ✅ Let's gooooo! Comment below!

1️⃣ My name is Todd Bingham, I’m a 61 year old OTR Professional and from what I’ve read from some of the comments, I’ve been in or close to where some of you are from. Porn has been in my life in some form since I was 9 years old. It’s been a long and exhausting journey of shame, guilt, and dozens of other emotions. 2️⃣ I’m looking forward to studying the courses and learning from Denis and the rest of you. I know one thing, each of us need all of us. I’m sure we’ll all make this work. 3. I spend a lot of time away from home. So when I’m home I enjoy being home. My wife and I enjoy being foodie’s of our SW MO comfort foods. We are huge KC Chiefs fans. We also belong to a good church and I’m getting help from one of our pastors too.

Sounds like you have a great chance to partner with Luke. Sounds like you have commonality from the start!! Share your goals with each other and support and pray for each other. Pray, be honest and celebrate your moving forward, and pray, and show Grace when you fall. And you will, but repent immediately, confess and He will cleanse you from ALL unrighteousness!!! Then move forward in the confidence that God desires to give you the righteous desires of your heart!!!
Why You Justify Watching P*rn
Hey guys, new training! Satan does to minimize the seriousness of sin - “made it this far - you earned it” → reward | p*rn is descructive (eve & the fruit), God put you here to serve not to be served / selfish  - “we were created to enjoy life - satisfaction” | yes, but in certain and in God’s design of things  - “created with a sex drive so this is fine - to masturbate/ watch porn” | energy God gives is to use to serve / create  - “it doesn’t affect others” / it doesn’t hurt anybody / nobody will see me | affects everybody - Christianity is not island living  - relieves stress | God only can be the solution, he is your true help. Solid rock.  - going to be enjoyable | “in his presence is fullness of joy”  - it’s just images not real people | real people - who are sex trafficked, are abused, manipulated, preyed upon  - the women I watch get paid for this and they enjoy it  - most guys watch it | God calls it a sin - not majority rule.  - i need a sexual release | energy God gives is to use to serve / create  - it’s not a big deal “it’s not like i’m having sex” | God created things in a certain way to work 🚀 Comment below which one you resonate with most. Link inside course👇🏻 #Why you Justify watching p*rn

Very true, there are those as well several others I have used. When you start reasoning for your sin, any reason is easy to make sense! Thanks Denis!!!

For me it was a release. It was temporary high that worked for me. It was the thrill of the hunt for content. Makes me nauseated to even consider it now!

@Batsirai Chada as a man who has had this issue for decades, I know exactly where you are coming from. Let me encourage you that I found that confession and repentance each time I fall. Scripture says a righteous man falls seven times but gets up seven times. Just because you fall doesn’t mean you have to stay down and sit in your self punishment!! Remember John said that If We Confess Our Sins, HE Is Faithful and Just To Forgive Us And Cleanse Us From ALL Unrighteousness I John 1:9

For the first time in a very long time I set aside an early Sunday morning appointment with God. The appointment was for me to BE STILL AND KNOW HE’S GOD!! I started with some Psalms and Proverbs. Now to explain, I had never formally repented of my addiction. If I prayed anything it was a passing “Sorry God!” and I moved on. But that Sunday I got on my face before Him. I began telling Him how this was so long overdue, how hard hearted I had become and that I needed his forgiveness, his restoration and then the sobbing began. Sobbing or even a weeping eye was very foreign to me. I hadn’t cried since I was a child or young teen. So at 61 years old I felt release like none other. So I continued crying out to God, thanking Him for the freedom I now know is real and lasting. Thank you Dan for pointing me in the right direction!!!
