Chisel restoration
Found some old woodworking chisels in the workshop. Rusty, chipped. Decide to do some restoration. Never done it before. But so far so good. Used white vinegar to remove the rust i let my sit about 8-9 hours. Now I'm set up with my new sharpening kit. Also using an angle hold jig thingy. As I said I'm new haha. Got 2 done so far and happy with the results considering the starting point. I'm using water on my stones for the metal chips. Anyone recommend something else? Or does it not matter as long as it unclogs the pores?

Working Outside?
Do you ever work outside? If so what do you use for a workbench or work surface out there?

I use an all metal work table my grandfather got from a factory in the 60's. He kept it under a tree to work on it in the summers and then my father used it when we took over the farm and now I use it. The top itself is a 1" thick slab of steel. I can expect my own future grandchildren to use this table as well.

@Rich Murphy that's what it is yeah! It slipped my mind when posting. My grandfather was a welder after WW2
This One Surprised Me
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mIFyxj-rr6o I know there are a lot of people out there who hate Harbor Freight; but sometimes they can surprise you. I recently tried out one of their tools, which reshaped my thinking a bit. Let me explain. It might surprise you, as much as it has surprised me.

I actually bought some of the harbor freight blades for my woodworking and I think they work great especially for the price. I'm getting another one today for my circular saw.
Candle holders
Relatively new to woodworking, been a huge interest of mine for years. My grandfather did it and my late father had a whole workshop with almost all the tools needed. Decided after losing my career as a Machinist due to health reasons that I'd take the opportunity to use what my father had left me and the time I now had to take it up myself and hopefully create a living off doing what I've always wanted to do. Attached a video on this but not sure if it will work. New to this group as well! My goal to to get into all areas of woodworking. For now I'm doing some easy stuff as I learn the skills and tools involved.
