10!
Yesterday I received notification that my thesis film UNNESTED has been selected into its 10th film festival this year. This time last year we were cramming in post production so we could screen our film at the Miami Dade College Bachelor’s Student screening. Fast forward to now and I’ve met so many people from all walks of life at these festivals and they loved the film so much. To the amazing crew who helped me bring this film to life, let this motivate you moving forward! Our hard work has been appreciated and loved by so many. Keep working and doing what you love because the world needs your art https://www.instagram.com/reel/DCGDM37t1LJ/?igsh=dGNxYzU2a3Roc3Zy

GEMS festival
Hey Miami Dade and Broward counties people, wanna list the films we are watching during GEMS? Last night, I watched Blitz by Brit Steve McQueen (12 Year A Slave, Shame, Small Axe, Hunger among others), with Saoirse Ronan leading.

Venom: The Last Dance
A few days ago I saw this movie and I having an internal debate as to how I should talk about it so here is goes. As a Marvel fan, there's a lot of talk about what this movie represents and what it could mean for Venom moving forward. Does it represent the end of Venom and the beginning of another symbiote story (Scream)? Or does it convinientely leave out what happened to the sample Venom left in that Mexican bar + Dani Rojas (they never said his name so that's how I'm identifying him)? As a moviegoer, I was entertained by this movie and the new characters introduced. Mrs. Chen is the most iconic and memorable character cameo in this movie. The Doctor twin (Dr. Payne) that could get her priorities rearranged but is empathetic, and Doctor Christmas🎄 (don't remember her name) which I honestly identified, being Dr. Payne moral compass. And who can forget Martin and his family which gave this movie an emotional edge I didn't even know it needed. My rating is 8/10, and I recommend you watch it so we can geek out together! And remember "We... Are... VENOM!"

Waooo I haven't touched after effects since college, I'm glad you found the fun in it again! Can't wait to see what you come up with ❤️
Rates
Talking about rates... It's always good to know the negotiated rates by the unions or guilds (DGA, IATSE (all locals), Teamsters, WGA, ASC, etc) More on UNIONS. You can base your rates on those even when you don't belong to one. Decent-funded productions will pay you those rates anyway. But you can also base your "worth" on your experience, years in business, and type of project. Here are the latest I have. They were renegotiated in August this year, but I don't have those yet. Rates thru Mar 2024
