Funny, not funny.
I recently heard that a incredible number of nurses had childhood trauma. In a recent study, 40% of nursing students surveyed had an ACES of 4 or more versus the national average of 12.5–13.3% of the general population having an ACES of 4 or more. Are we “Walking Wounded” as Contri-O’hare theorizes?

I would agree, most nurses I’ve worked with & talked with, including myself, had childhood trauma of some kind, whether it be living with a sick or troubled parent or an actual trauma happening to the child or both.
