How I Almost Got Fired From My New Freelancing Gig Within 24 Hours
@Louise Aquino @Chris Wilson @Sofia Tahanova Y’all need to hear this story, @Louise Aquino specifically asked me to share this. So here’s what happened. This is a project management gig, my client needed me to take over his role. Now here’s where it gets interesting, 24 hours into my onboarding, he requested to see my screen and wanted me to walk him through what I learnt the previous day. After watching me struggle for a few minutes to navigate the project he got frustrated and disappointed and requested I stopped working until he figured out how to move forward. I knew that was an introduction to "You are fired" and I wasn’t going to sit down and let it happen so I sent him a message to remind him it’s only been 24 hours and he’s been in this role for years and it would be unrealistic to expect anyone to take over within 24 hours. I also reminded him of my capabilities and experience and everything I bring to the table which convinced him to hire me in the first place. Long story short, he apologised and acknowledged he is just traumatised by his previous experience with the last Freelancer who wasted his time for 3 months. Fast forward to the next day, I accomplished in one day tasks he said I wouldn’t be ready to accomplish in 2 weeks, and now he is asking I stick with him long term 😂. Imagine if I kept quiet?

WOW thank you so much for sharing. You are very perceptive to be able to catch on to what he was thinking and also how to move forward. I should start posting here more about my work situation dilemma maybe you guys can help me out, I sometimes struggle with knowing how to appropriately acknowledge certain situations without coming off disrespectful. I'm glad you tagged me, thank you, I gotta follow you to see more posts like this!❤️ Very inspiring and forward-thinking, you're amazing!

How to Master the Skill of 'Micro Wins' for Big Success
In life and business, we often think success is built on major victories. But the truth is, BIG wins are just a series of "micro wins" stacked up over time. What’s a Micro Win? It’s a small, achievable goal that moves you closer to your long-term objective. Think of them as tiny investments that pay massive dividends. How to Harness the Power of Micro Wins: 1. Break Down Big Goals– Instead of focusing on the huge outcome (like getting a promotion or saving for a house), identify the small steps you can achieve each day. 2. Celebrate Progress– Take a moment to acknowledge every small win. Even 5 minutes of extra focus, completing a to-do list, or learning one new skill counts. 3. Track Your Wins– Keeping a simple log of your micro wins builds confidence and motivation. You’ll be surprised by how far you’ve come after a month of steady progress. 4.Share Your Wins– Engage with the community by sharing your micro wins with us. Not only will you inspire others, but you’ll build accountability for your own progress! Remember: Success isn’t a one-time event—it’s a habit. Let's make the pursuit of micro wins part of our daily routine, and watch as they snowball into big life changes! What’s one micro win you achieved today? Let’s celebrate you!

@Obioma Ihionu These things were very hard to get to for me, I don't enjoy constant calls and emails. I dreaded these tasks and some I put off for a day or two. But, by just completing 1, it gets the ball rolling and make it easier to complete the next and then the next, I'm still in the process of a job hunt so the tasks were like this: ✅ Write introductory emails to everyone I met at the business networking event (they gave me their business cards and asked me to send them my resume) ✅ Follow up with Vlad, ask for job application. ✅ Follow up with Kristiana, and ask if they saw my application. ✅ Follow up with WagginMeals business about work. ✅ Schedule a call with Tony about a business opportunity. No one knows how much work goes in behind the scenes, it's just scratched off in my notebook's To-Do list, but it's a micro-win on paper and a macro-win for me.😁

@Obioma Ihionu Thank you!
Hey Team!
quick question: What's the most ridiculous thing you've ever bought that you thought you needed but never actually used? I’ll go first—bought a fancy blender, now it’s just holding fruit hostage in the fridge. 🍌🤣 Share yours!

@Obioma Ihionu yeah I have like more of a sarcastic or dry humor sometimes but I’m way too mean so I need to know the people I’m talking to 😂 also there’s culture differences like things that are funny to my Ukrainian culture are rude or disrespectful to the American culture. I can be a very direct person. @Chris Wilson I keep hearing about improv, so I’m starting to consider it at this point!😅

What are you doing this week?
This week and the past few weeks have been crazy! We just launched our 4th AirBNB! We're dealing with some water damage in one of our apartments and will have that wrapped up by tomorrow before our guests arrive on Thursday! Some other fun news.. We are closing on another property this Friday and I'm pumped about it! I'll start with updating the electrical and water fixtures. I'm looking forward to ripping out the carpet and putting in some new flooring!! Our goal is to be done remodeling and furnishing this property within 2 months or less. This house was bought on seller finance AKA we didn't use a bank!! If I have some time this week I'll host a coffee hour call where we can all hang out and talk. What has everyone else been up to?

@Chris Wilson I'll be a floater (wearing many hats with various tasks) for a small mom and pop shop. They are Christians who locally source meats and veggies from local farmers here and cook healthy dog food meals! They need website and marketing help (Which I can do) as well as extra hands around the store! Sadly it's only part time so I'll still be looking for another job but I'm excited to work with them!
