New Website for E-Visa
In case anyone needs to apply for a Visa to Vietnam, the Website has been upgraded and is in use from November 11, 2024. Evisa.gov.vn This is the only place you should register for the Electronic Tourist Visa. I've done a full walkthrough to answer any questions you might have. Please keep the group updated if anyone is using the site and having issues getting approvals.

@Travis Carrasquillo - Travis, here are the times for my test run opening the eVisa Vietnam site. From the States, using Windows Brave browser, load time to landing page 20 seconds. With a VPN active and pointed to Ha Noi Vietnam, load time is 10 seconds. So the site does favor in-country use. Sj

@Baby Steve nice Western style digs. May I ask what you are paying for this place? Sj
Moving to Vietnam
Are you planning on living in Vietnam long-term but worried about navigating the process on your own? I’ve made a COMPLETE guide to moving to Da Nang with all the information you need to get settled in as quickly as possible with no inconveniences. I’ve put everything I’ve learned after more than 5 years living in Vietnam into this guide and I really think it will be helpful for a lot of people. This is the most detailed guide I’ve ever put together. Using my recommendations for finding an apartment, renting a motorbike, visa run agents, etc. is going to save you time and money. We will cover: ✅Intro to Vietnam (Regions, weather, language, currency, food) ✅Intro to Da Nang (Weather, Neighborhoods) ✅How to do a Visa run ✅Renting an apartment ✅Renting or Buying a Motorbike ✅Insurance/Medical/Dental ✅Bank accounts ✅Sim cards ✅Shopping/Groceries ✅+Bonus Custom Google maps with Local Recommendations ➡️For this weekend, the price of the guide will be the cheapest it will ever be. I want everyone that has been in the group a while a chance to get the complete guide for the best deal. After this weekend the price will go up. You can find the guide in the "Classroom" tab at the top of the page⬆️ I’m excited to hear your feedback!

Viewed this detailed course. Lots of useful information that could make one's entry into and living in VN much easier. I could not even get this much info off the forums. Sj
Zoophobia, lions and tigers, and spiders, oh my
@Travis Carrasquillo - I follow multiple forums on travel. One forum a man illustrates his spider bite encounters in Vietnam. Are spiders an issue in Vietnam? Are there pro-active measures to lessen the encounter? I saw you mention the multiple encounters with the tiger mosquito (dengue).
