Drax Day 3
Can genuinely see improvement with Drax locking onto me. Our walks are now much more fun orientated..when i recall him it could be cocktail saussage or ball or frisbee...Drax loves toys. Ive now trained him to wait while i throw ball..then when he makes eye contact i release him to fetch....hes so smart...only weakness is his desire to bound upto every bloody dog in the world still! Lead walk training today .hes getting great at this(Nick B thank you for advice re different lead set up) lead pressure training is going well, stop training is good....just need to keep it up!!

@Steve Goodall Thanks Steve..I think I'm lucky to have him!!
Day 2 Recall and lead pressure
Yes Drax knows his commands but does he always obey them? Not if there are other dogs who want to play! We march on regardless...im.upping my game...lots of recall practice on walks and at home if hes been out of sight for 10 mins +...Drax is slowly getting better...each walk we do is more of a game..i bring his favourite ball out..we chase each other and play find me regularly..Drax is becoming more locked onto me so I need to keep this up and be as much fun as other dogs...about time Summer arrived...weather is crap..i could be training him on evenings but its too dark. Not much lead pressure training today so will redouble my efforts tomorrow. Its on me to have Drax as good as he can be.

Drax Day 1
Recall training! "Quick quick quick" then I call "here" and Hey Presto Drax comes back....im occassionally dropping in "stop" command which already stopped Drax in his tracks when he was sprinting towards a non friendly dog. Thank you Nick B for showing me this at houndplus! To increase Draxs engagement I'll hide from him(when safe) then shout "find me" ...this works a treat as he keeps an eye on me more and its become a game...lead pressure training is next step..I will have a perfectly trained dog at the end of this!

HUGE UPDATE: CORE 66 - 14 DAY PLAN POSTED
I'm super excited the first two weeks of the Core 66 is now posted! If you're feeling a little unsure about what to train over the 66 days then this is where I recommend starting. The Core 66 will be focused on having more on and off-lead control. I've condensed the exercises I think give you most bang for your buck into the 66 day plan so you can make the biggest difference in the shortest timeframe. Please do go check it out and let me know what you think. This is a course that will certainly evolve with time but will be a ridiculously valuable free resource for people. With that in mind, if you have anyone you think would benefit from it then send them a link to this group! I'll post the following stages over the next few days so do make you continue to level up so you can access them. šŸ™
