Great meeting new people in FLA
HP and I trained hard all week, and it was incredible to see everything come together this weekend. Thank you for the opportunity to work with you, young man. If all goes well, we’ll see you again in December back in Florida! A big shoutout to the amazing teams at Proworld and One Tennis for letting us hit with their players. @Vincent Yacavino , your hospitality was truly outstanding. If you’re ever near Ottawa, don’t hesitate to reach out—I’d love to sync up. @JelenaKitchoukova, it was a pleasure meeting you. Wishing you and your son nothing but the best, and the same offer goes to you. @Vid Yadav thanks for the analysis and allowing us to make meaningful adjustment in our practice sessions. Looking forward to what’s ahead!”

📢 Special Event Alert! 📢
We’re thrilled to announce that on November 30th, we’ll be joined by none other than Coach John Williams! Fresh from an incredible journey to the finals at the WTA Finals with his player (Taylor Townsend) in Riyadh, Taylor and her partner, who entered as the 8th seed, showed true grit and resilience through the round robin and semifinals. What a remarkable year for Coach John and Taylor, and a pretty great way to cap off the year. Something tells us it’s only the beginning! Join us as Coach John dives into topics like clarity vs. confidence, insights from his new book, The Champions Code, and so much more. 🎾 Calling all tennis fans! Share this QR code with anyone passionate about tennis who’d love to be part of this incredible community. It is now a paid site at $9.00 per month for new members. We will constantly be bringing some of the world’s best to speak and we will be adding a ton of course work into the classroom as value. Well worth every penny to be part of this. Don’t miss out—let’s make this an event to remember!

from @Vincent Yacavino@John Williams For the upcoming interview…I’d like to ask, since John has background in the conditioning side and now coaching,,,,what would he recommend, as a strength conditioning thought, is the most underdeveloped aspect that a jr transitioning to pro should better train to be prepared for the demands at the pro level ?
Using video and Gotta
We love what Gotta Tennis does for us. With the Gotta team’s support we are able to quickly identify opportunities to improve ourselves. HP was lacking serve variety and so we have spent the last two days getting better @Vid Yadav

What you say as a parent matters
It would be great if my son could win a couple of games this weekend While winning is important, it shouldn't come at the expense of their mental state. Encouraging your child to focus on the present moment, specifically the next ball. Remind them that they have control over their actions and decisions in the current moment. The last point is already gone, and the future points are mere dreams. However, the next ball is the reality they need to concentrate on. By emphasizing the importance of giving their all to each ball, you're instilling a mindset of commitment and excellence. Encourage them to play the Next ball to the best of their abilities, channeling every ounce of their being into it. This approach will help them stay focused, improve their performance, and ultimately increase their chances of success. Remember, winning matters, but nurturing a strong mindset and focusing on the present moment are equally if not more vital for long-term growth and success. One of the greatest players of all time said in his book, " If I made a mistake on the previous point, forget it: should thought of victory suggest itself, crush it. That's where the mental strength comes in, what separates champions from near champions. You put that failure immediately behind you and clean out your mind. You do not let your mind dwell on it" This approach highlights Nadal's commitment to concentrating fully on each point, regardless of the outcomes. Let's discuss :)

Liking very much what you are saying my friend. We watched 9 and 11 year olds on the weekend trying to get 20 balls in a row to a specific target (as one example). At first 1-3-4-7-14-3 and we did use operant conditioning and the focus set in for these guys very quickly 19-20. Vision became engaged, feet moved, as required, set up happened before the ball bounced, and they made their target goal of 20.
