3 Things I Wish I Knew When I Started My Career🗣️
1. The “top” position isn’t the only definition of success. Every industry has its traditional markers of success, but those may not align with your goals or passions. Take the time to explore different paths within your field and find the niche that brings you fulfillment. How to Improve: Stay curious and open-minded about opportunities. Volunteer for diverse projects, attend industry events, and connect with professionals in different roles to expand your perspective. 2. You don’t have to stay where you’re undervalued. No job is worth sacrificing your well-being or personal growth. If your workplace doesn’t support your development or respect your contributions, there are plenty of other opportunities out there—even the chance to work for yourself. How to Improve: Regularly update your resume and professional network. Invest in developing skills that make you adaptable and valuable across multiple settings. 3. Your qualifications are tools, not boundaries. Degrees, certifications, and training are stepping stones, not walls. They should enable you to build the career you want, not confine you to paths others expect you to follow. How to Improve: Keep evaluating your career goals and exploring ways to grow. Seek mentors, take additional courses, or develop new skills that align with your evolving interests and values. For those just starting out, take this as a perspective to consider. For those further along in their careers, what advice would you give someone new to your field?

True Commandment RESUME CHEAT SHEET: Crafting a Resume That Reflects Excellence
Hi guys I have created a cheat sheet that has all the most necessary words and information to craft the best resume you can have!🗣️ Your resume is more than just a document; it’s your first opportunity to make an impression and reflect the God-given talents you bring to the workplace. Here’s how to create a resume that sets you apart, combining professional polish with faith-based excellence: 1. Highlight Purpose and Progress Start by assembling your job history and skills, focusing on roles and achievements that align with your calling. Tailor each resume for specific positions, emphasizing relevant experiences. For example: - Show how you've stewarded responsibilities to generate measurable results. - If you’ve worked remotely, include examples of time management and initiative that highlight your adaptability. 2. Personalize Your Presentation Templates are helpful starting points, but your resume should reflect your individuality. Avoid overly generic designs and opt for a layout that showcases your story. Consider: - Adding an "About Me" section to summarize your career journey and values. - Incorporating subtle, professional design elements that reflect your creativity while maintaining clarity. 3. Be Specific and Data-Driven When listing responsibilities and accomplishments, use action-oriented language and quantify your achievements. For example: - Instead of "Managed social media accounts," say, "Boosted engagement by 40% through strategic content planning." - Highlight promotions, major projects, or innovations you’ve led. 4. Craft a Compelling Career Snapshot Replace outdated objective statements with a concise career summary at the top of your resume. This brief section should capture who you are, your expertise, and your value to employers. 5. Format with Excellence Ensure your resume is polished and error-free. - File type: Save it as a Word document for online systems and a PDF for direct submissions to preserve formatting. - Proofreading: Triple-check for typos or inconsistencies, and ask someone you trust to review it.

FOCUSING IS A SUPERPOWER IN THE FIELD AND TASKS YOU AIM TO ACHIEVE
🗣️🛠️ It’s not about doing everything, it’s about doing the right things with intention and excellence. 💡 Remember, when your eyes are fixed on God’s purpose for your career, clarity follows. Proverbs 4:25 reminds us, ‘Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you.’ This week, start small by setting 25 minute blocks of time and take conscious step to eliminate distractions and fully commit to the tasks that align with your calling. What will you focus on today? 🎯
